MJC Tube & Liner Spinning Series

MJC “SPT” machines are heavy-duty CNC tube and liner spinning machines built for hot forming and neck forming of cylindrical workpieces.

The hot spinning neck forming process shapes and reduces the diameter of tubes, pipes or containers while the metal is heated, creating components such as gas cylinders, pressure vessels and certain aerospace parts.

MJC SPT-26.150 tube and liner spinning machine with long loading rail, torch manifold and outfeed conveyor

These machines are specially designed for manufacturing aluminum liners for Type III high pressure cylinders. Using the latest technology available and standard components ensures the highest productivity while keeping maintenance and cost of ownership the lowest in the world. All major Type-3 cylinder manufacturers worldwide use MJC machines for liner manufacturing.

Each machine is supplied as a complete work cell. The design features are based on 30 years of know-how and proven technology, with manually assisted front loading, an innovative CNC backstop with automatic ejection, and a three-torch system under closed-loop temperature control.
